Redmond Area Parks and Recreation District

For nearly 40 years, Redmond Area Park & Recreation District (RAPRD) has been serving the greater Redmond community with exciting recreation opportunities for all ages, interests and abilities. The comprehensive and inclusive programs, complement the diverse recreational pursuits that this wondrous region has to offer. With a mission to promote a healthy, vibrant and engaged community by providing excellent recreation and enrichment opportunities for all, it just takes one program and you will be hooked on this outstanding community resource.

RAPRD currently operates a variety of facilities, parks, trails and recreation areas, in addition to hosting activities and programs at Redmond community parks in partnership with the Redmond School District.

Redmond’s only public aquatic facility is Cascade Swim Center (CSC), located at 465 SW Rimrock Drive next to Redmond High School. This year-round facility offers a wide variety of aquatic activities, from aqua-aerobics to swim-lessons and beyond. The CSC facility also has a spa, and a seasonal wading pool and spray park for refreshing fun during Central Oregon’s hot summer months. In addition to the regular daily schedule of aquatic fitness and recreation activities, the CSC facility is available for private pool parties!  Call for details and rates.

The one-acre park surrounding the Cascade Swim Center is the perfect place for a fun family picnic. Community members and visitors are welcome to enjoy the grounds, with sand volleyball, horseshoes and a basketball court, free of charge.

The RAPRD Activity Center, at its new location at 2441 SW Canal Blvd., is a newly renovated sports, fitness and recreation center. The Activity Center offers the community a wide variety of exciting activities. A broad assortment of fitness equipment, a gymnasium with aerobics classes, racquetball court, children’s activities, on-site locker-room facilities, and more.

In addition to RAPRD’s two main facilities, they also operate several open-air recreation sites, including the forty-acre High Desert Sports Complex, northeast of Redmond off Negus Way. This outdoor complex has three softball fields, soccer fields, an airstrip for radio controlled model airplanes and a BMX bike track.
