Vote for your Favorite Scarecrow in Downtown Redmond
and Support Central Oregon’s Non-Profits.  

Merchants in historic downtown Redmond are partnering with non-profits in Central Oregon to create scarecrows for a fun fall activity and fund raiser during the month of October. Beginning October 1st through November 4th, the public is invited to vote for their favorite scarecrows on 6th street from Black Butte to Glacier. Voters can purchase a vote for 50 cents from participating merchants then place the ticket in a container on the scarecrow. All proceeds from the voting will go directly to the non-profits and, the two favorite scarecrows will share a prize of at least $550 dollars provided by the businesses.

Activities include: horse drawn covered wagon rides, a pumpkin canon, zoo train, hay fort, animal house, pony rides, market, and of course - the maize!

PacMan influenced the design of the Maize this year so look for sharp angular turns and an intricate design sure to be a lot of fun.  Admission to the maize is $7.50 for individuals 12 & older, $5.50 for those ages 6-11. FREE for kids 5 & under.  Get lost in the maize Fridays: 3:00p.m. - 7:00p.m., Saturdays & Sundays 10:00a.m. - 7:00p.m.

 
Fall Family Festival, October 31

Children and families are invited to the Fall Family Festival at Highland Baptist Church in Redmond, October 31 from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. F.F.F. is a fun and safe event. Trunk or Treat will take place in the parking lot and consists of children walking around, stopping at each decorated vehicle, and picking up candy. Dinner will be available in the gym for $1, carnival booths, games, prizes and a cake walk are also part of the night. There’s even a pre-school play room with games and prizes. Finally, consider having a family photo taken in front of a colorful hand painted backdrop to remember the event. Admission for the event is free. Please bring a non-perishable food item when you arrive. All food is distributed to families in need in our community. Highland Baptist Church is located at 3100 SW Highland Ave. in Redmond.
