This year’s Expo takes place Wednesday, April 19th, from 1 to 6 p.m., at the Deschutes Fair & Expo Center.
Brand new this year is the addition of a Job Fair to the Expo. BeginRight Employment Services, PrideStaff, Mid Oregon Personnel Services, WorkSource Redmond, and Express Employment Professionals are just a few that will be on site looking to pair quality candidates with quality jobs.

Kick off the event by attending our keynote luncheon, sponsored by St. Charles Health System, and listen to Redmond Mayor George Endicott’s State of the City Address, which will focus on Redmond’s past accomplishments, and what the city plans to accomplish in the year to come. Right after the luncheon, we open the doors for the Expo itself, which brings together hundreds of regional business owners, influencers, and decision makers to network, build relationships, and connect with vendors that provide unique products and services. Attendance to the Expo is completely FREE! Be sure to bring your business cards for great giveaways and be ready to make new connections.
Throughout the day there will also be three very informative free workshops, each covering an important part of expanding your business. First on the docket is Cale Peterson, from Crestcom Leadership Development, with a workshop on Results Driven Communication. Crestcom’s proven leadership training not only helps managers manage more efficiently, but also helps employees relate to leadership more effectively. The second workshop will be a panel discussion about Creating an Attractive Work Culture. Panelists Steve Curley of COCC, Steve Bettis of Medline ReNewal, Greg Lambert of Mid Oregon Personnel, and Debbie Butler from the Oregon Employment Department. The final workshop will be lead by John Meyer, Financial Advisor at Edward Jones. His workshop about Retirement by Design will explore different methods of effectively saving and investing for retirement. The three workshops will take place from 1:15-2:00 p.m., 2:15-3:00 p.m., and 3:15-4:00 p.m., respectively.
Finally, as we close out the Expo, we’ll have a roaming MC circulating through the vendors, reintroducing the highlights of the day, and announcing raffle winners from each booth. This “Business After Hours” portion includes appetizers and a no-host bar. It’s the best time of day to add giveaways to the stack of new business connections and resources you’ve already gathered.

In addition to the Expo, the State of the City, and the Job Fair, we are also excited to offer three workshops, hosted by very talented local business leaders. They are as follows:
Workshop 1, 1:15-2pm: Result Driven Communication
Presenter Bio: Cale Pearson has deep roots in the Redmond Community. Having spent twelve years in an area trucking business, and growing from his involvement in the community, he has a passion for helping businesses lead and manage with better effciency. In addition to facilitating Bullet Proof Manager trainings in both Central Oregon and Eugene, he also hones his leadership and management skills through coaching his sons’ basketball teams. When he’s not at work, coaching or cheering on his boys on the soccer field, he and his family (including their three dogs) enjoy everything Central Oregon has to offer the outdoor fitness enthusiast.
Workshop 2, 2:15-3pm: Creating an Attractive Work Culture (Panel Discussion)
Presenter Bios: Steve Bettis, Vice President - Operations, ReNewal Division of Medline Industries, Steve has been leading manufacturing companies in Central Oregon for 22 years and has come to believe that culture is one of the most important pillars of a company’s foundation and success. Greg Lambert, Founder and President, Mid Oregon Personnel, Greg Lambert is one of those individuals for whom honesty and integrity are a way of life and prime reasons why Mid Oregon Personnel has been in business for over 30 years.
Debbie Butler, Business and Employment Specialist, Oregon Employment Dept./Worksource Oregon. Debbie loves helping unemployed workers with resources, resume building and job searches. She also is passionate about developing relationships with local businesses to match unemployed workers with their open positions. Steve Curley, Director for the Small Business Development Center, Central Oregon Community College. Steve loves working with entrepreneurs and small businesses to help them build a business that works for them. Steve has been a business owner himself and worked with hundreds of small businesses throughout his career doing research, developing strategy and creating brands.
Workshop 3, 3:15-4pm: Retirement by Design
Presenter Bio: John Meyer began his Edward Jones career in 2008 and moved to Redmond, OR in 2011 to get closer to family. A graduate in 2004 of the University of Idaho with a B.S. in Business Management, He come from a large family and is the youngest of 8 children. He has 25 nieces and nephews and was married in August of 2016. He has served on the Redmond Chamber Board since 2013 and volunteers heavily with Young Life in Redmond as well as several coaching positions at the high school level. John and Kristi Andrews have been working together to serve out community since 2011 and love and enjoy the community they get to live and serve in.

Finally, close out the day with our Expo MC as they circulate through the Expo exhibitors, reintroduce the highlights of the day, and reveal the raffle prize winners of each booth.
